Yes to both if the drink is sake, otherwise just yes to the sparring.

What weapon do you use?

An uchigatana. I'm The blade is about 73cm long and quite difficult to handle, mostly because it's straighter in comparison to other swords.

I have four: two wakizashi and two nodachi. I primarily use the shorter blades, but I've been training up on the longer ones.

That's smart. Even though I only use an uchigatana in battle, when I train I often go for the bigger training swords. They're heavier, and so that makes managing my own sword easier.

I really should try to practice with tantou or wakizashi, though. Smaller swords are a lot harder to dodge sometimes, so it's admirable that you're able to use both short and long swords in combat. It sounds like you're prepared for anything.

It was part of my family's training, but I have my own personal motivations as well. I've only begun to dual wield the long swords, but I'll get there.
